Datamart supports fax on most hardware range of adaptors if they support the T.38 fax protocol.
You may have heard a little about VoIP. VoIP is short for Voice over Internet Protocol, which means your phone calls travel over the Internet, rather than the traditional phone lines. By bypassing the traditional phone lines, Datamart's VoIP phone service allows you to save a small fortune on your landline phone costs by:
• Eliminating STD and long distance call rates.
• Delivering significantly lower call rates for mobile and international calls Eliminating call connection and flagfall fees on all call types
• Delivering premium call features free of charge including call waiting, caller id presentation, voicemail box and call hold etc.
• And if you're not using ADSL broadband, you can disconnect your landline phone service and eliminate line rental fees.
Datamart converts your voice into IP packets to a server and then we switch the calls back over the internet, or to the public switched telephone network (PSTN).
Yes, there is no limit to how many phone lines you can have.
However the more phone lines you have, the faster your internet service needs to be. Please note other internet applications (e.g. downloading, FTP, e-mail) also consume bandwidth if they are using the same internet connection
Datamart products and services should function over the majority of internet connections available in Australia, including DSL, cable and wireless. You should consider a minimum 512/128kbps connection for optimum performance.
The amount of bandwidth used depends on how much you use your telephone, as well as what codec you use on your VoIP device.
It also depends whether your Internet plan includes uploaded data (that is, data sent from your computer to the internet) as well as downloaded data (data that is received from the internet by your computer).
